The TBT studio opened in September 2014 and quickly became a healthy hub of activity with an uplifting, happy vibe. Here, you will find the finest instruction and motivation from a very experienced team of fitness professionals.
Twenty-five years in the fitness industry has shown me the most successful way to attaining good health, is through the support and care of a professional instructor. My TBT team is awesome. I have personally selected them for their outstanding teaching skills, knowledge, passion and the genuine care they bring to every individual in class. We are free-thinkers with the ability to tailor exercise to your needs and the freedom to create workouts that make you feel good.
Our aim is to help you get fitter, stronger, more flexible and achieve a level of health and well-being that stretches far beyond your original needs.

Izzy discovered Pilates while she was waiting for her dance teacher to come back from maternity leave and it did not take long for Izzy’s body to really tone up and become strong again (having put quite a fair bit of weight on when having her son!). For the last 10 years, Izzy has been teaching mums, dads, professional sports people and corporate businesses the techniques of Pilates ranging from the beginners, intermediate to advanced classes. Classes are motivating and challenging in equal measure and are so popular, they sell out quickly with a waiting list. Get in if you can!
Sophie spent many years travelling the world as a professional dancer. After pushing her body to the limits and beyond she turned to yoga, at the advice of her osteopath, to help heal her dancing injuries. Having practised Bikram Yoga for four years and retired from her professional dancing career, Sophie embarked on a Hatha yoga teacher training course and proudly qualified in January 2010. Yoga has enriched all aspects of Sophie’s life and she is thrilled to be able to share her knowledge and experience of this incredible discipline.
Nicola recently qualified as an Exercise Professional having once been a TV Producer making high profile shows for the BBC and ITV. After having children, Nicola followed her love of exercise and fitness and decided to embark on a new career as a fitness professional. She has a passion and enthusiasm for keeping fit and encourages her classes with humour and motivation to be and do the best they can. Nicola teaches BODYWORK, my trainer and TRX. Expect to feel the burn!
Starting out in Group Exercise and Personal Training in 1994, Emma has been inspiring people all over the globe to adopt a fitter and healthier lifestyle. Emma spent much of her twenties teaching a range of classes, as well as managing health clubs and Spa’s in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mauritius. She went on to gain a diploma in Sports Massage and Beauty Therapy in 2005 and continued working in Australia for seven years. Emma is passionate about introducing exercise and wellness to those whose need it most. Helping people change their lives through fitness in a fun and enjoyable environment. Emma teaches Pilates at the TBT studio.
Aimee Garcia Marshall
Aimee started practising yoga following a back injury whilst training for the London Marathon 10 years ago. She soon established a regular practice through finding a love for Vinyasa, Rocket and Power yoga – dynamic yoga practices which were challenging yet soothing for the mind. Aimee gained her RYT200 at Yoga London in April 2013, Hot Yoga qualification in 2015 and continues to train under the guidance of Marcus Veda and Stewart Gilchrist. Aimee teaches yoga flow at the TBT studio and her style is fun, creative and set to an incredible playlist of inspiring tracks. If you love yoga flow, this is the class for you!
Kas started practicing Ashtanga and Hatha yoga in 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of a regular yoga practice. To deepen her knowledge of yoga asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques), she decide to train as a Hatha yoga teacher in 2014 and successfully became a yoga alliance registered teacher.
Kas has a kind, welcoming and gentle approach in her classes and draws upon her yoga knowledge to deliver a slow paced, full body stretch class designed to iron out your tight, fatigued muscles.
Emma graduated with a BA Honours in Dance studies in 2003. She then spent the last 11 years teaching and instructing dance and performing arts students. Teaching, guiding and instructing is Emma's passion and what she does best!
After taking her first Barre class 12 months ago, Emma got her ETM qualification and decided to teach Barre herself. She decided to shift her teaching from students to adults who are excited and interested in using the principles of ballet and barre exercises for fitness. "I love seeing people progress and develop their fitness levels through movement and I am so excited to be bringing Barre to the TBT studio!"
Kat has been practising yoga for almost 10 years. Her journey began when working on improving her symptoms from endometriosis. She is passionate on supporting women’s health due to experiencing the curative effects a combination of yoga, meditation and mindful nutrition had in her life.
She holds a 200hr RYT Yoga Alliance Certification. She has trained with Tias Little and Max Strom, and still continues to practise under their guidance.
Her passion for alignment, mindful movement and breath work are the foundation for her sessions.
Kathryn's basis of teaching lies in a synthesis of Hatha, Flow, Iyengar, Qi Gong and Somatic movements. Her classes inspire a greater compassion for the self while cultivating a strong mental and physical practise.
Kathryn teaches from a place of intuition and we follow life's prompts as they arise in the present moment.
From a young age, Emily's talent was in dance, eventually training full time and working as a professional dancer for 5 years. After living and working abroad, she returned to the UK to qualify as a personal trainer and group class instructor. The benefit of her dance background ensured she excelled quickly in this field where she could share her passion for health and fitness.
Further to this, Emily decided to compete in fitness physique competitions, taking third place in the bikini category at the WBFF, the UK's biggest competition. Throughout her experience of competing, Emily learnt a lot about body transformation and soon found a niche in helping clients reach there body transformation goals through tailored exercise and nutrition plans.
Another dimension to Emily's skill set is yoga. She has completed 200 hour hatha yoga and 100 hour Rocket yoga qualifications and delivers creative and energising yoga classes at the TBT studio.
As a former competitive gymnast and dancer, exercise has been both a discipline and a way of life for Christine from a very early age. Christine took up gymnastics at the age of three, competing as a member of the Junior British Team and Junior Olympic Squad. She is also trained to an advanced level in ballet and attended the Royal Ballet School.
Christine began her career as a fitness professional and has worked in a range of different roles in the health and fitness industry including managing health clubs around the world. However her passion has always been teaching – so after taking a break to start a family, she now instructs a variety of classes including Spin, Barre, Body Conditioning, Hitt, Aqua, Aerobics and Step.
Christine’s classes all incorporate a strong emphasis on posture and technique, but above all she believes that making exercise enjoyable, safe and inclusive is the best way to help her members and clients achieve their long-term health and fitness goals.
Zak Bowman has a BSc (Hons) in Strength and Conditioning Science.
Having always been a fitness enthusiast, eight years ago Zak decided to leave his job working in bank management to pursue his ambition to become a fitness professional. Since then Zak has achieved many recognised qualifications as well as gaining his degree at a leading Strength and Conditioning University.
Zak has trained hundreds of people, all reaching specific goals, including professional athletes at Watford FC as part of the sports science team and is currently a contracted Physical Training Instructor for the Royal Air Force. Within both employments Zak has had a chance to work closely with the physiotherapists and help develop rehabilitation programs for injured athletes and service personnel. BOX fit is his creation of boxing and kicking drills alongside whole body strength and conditioning. His fun and light-hearted approach to training makes the whole exercise experience very appealing. You'll be HOOKED!
When Anna was 19 and studying Politics at university, she decided that all she wanted to do in the future was to work at Sweaty Betty and be a personal trainer. At her parents' insistence, she continued her degree but shortly after graduating, completed her Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification. Since then, Anna has qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Level 4 Exercise for Low Back Pain Specialist. She also holds qualifications in Exercise to Music, Circuit Training, Suspension Training, Indoor Cycling and Exercise Referral.
Anna has worked as a full time personal trainer since 2013 but has recently returned to the corporate world spending three days a week working at SOAS University in London. On her days in London, Anna loves trying out new exercise classes and fitness trends, which inspire her own teaching.
Anna believes that exercise should be fun, challenging, varied and safe. She loves being a part of Melissa Scott's Team TBT for this reason, as every class encompasses these principles.
Rosie Millen - Miss Nutritionist
Rosie Millen trained at the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition. Graduating in 2010 with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, she is a fully qualified nutritionist therapist and a qualified Functional Medicine practitioner. She is also a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) which is the professional body for nutritional therapists.
Rosie has a strong passion to help people achieve better health. She believes that by improving your diet and lifestyle you are in a better position to achieve anything you want in life. Rosie says “You really are what you eat. We should never underestimate the power of food as medicine”.
Her desire to spread the word about the connection between diet and the way we feel, think and behave is the very reason she developed the highly effective and successful 21 day detox. Rosie has launched her first line of food products: Dynabites. A family of three energy bars that are a nutritious snack for those on the go with an explosive taste. These can be found on sale in the studio lobby as an excellent post training fuel.
The secret to Rosie’s success is her drive and motivation to help people look and feel better coupled with her positive outlook and friendly personality.
