High Intensity Interval Training can be safely adapted to suit all fitness levels, whether super fit, returning to exercise or simply starting out.
HIIT training is a time efficient and effective method of burning excess body fat, whilst increasing overall fitness levels. Exercises are designed to strengthen the entire body and participants are encouraged to work to their maximum personal ability for short, repeated bursts of effort, followed by periods of recovery.
Wednesday 9.30am – 10.30am
Best suited to those looking for a whole body conditioning class.
Opening with an extended warm up and stretch sequence to prepare the body for work. This is followed by a flowing range of bodyweight exercises designed to improve strength, balance, symmetry and overall fitness.
In practising sound technique, your body will learn to move smoothly and efficiently, improving strength, flexibility and muscle tone. Hand weights can be used for deeper conditioning and accelerated results.
TRX – suspension training
Saturday 9am – 9.50am
TRX – a highly motivating, time-efficient and results rewarding workout.
TRX is a complete body training system that uses two adjustable straps, plus your body weight, to build strength, power, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability. TRX helps fight against bone loss through weight bearing exercise, activates multiple muscles to increase heart rate/calorie burn with a particularly strong focus on core conditioning.
Melissa holds certificates in TRX Suspension training, TRX Functional Training, TRX for Yoga, and is an Advanced TRX Coach with over 10 years experience. Her clear instruction and motivation will carefully guide you through your class and leave you feeling invincible!
